Existing facility has one fire pump serving two existing buildings, the owner wants to
add a third building. Local AHJ states IBC requires a separate complete stand alone fire suppression system thus requiring the owner to provide a new fire pump and city water connection for the building. Has any one run across this IBC requirement or is the AHJ incorrect in his statement?
