My personal take on this is the time to operate has always assumed that 13
and the 5 Min. limit referred to a water motor gong device, and 72 referred
to any electrical device I.E. flow switch or pressure switch. Water motor
gongs just seem to take longer to activate, and require a fairly steady
flow. Most flow switches are soo-oo-oo sensitive that they respond to surges
so often they need to be retarded 30-60 seconds to ensure that it is an
actual head going off.
