I have alluded to the this situation before and got some vague answers. There 
is an engineer involved and he has answered this question with "comply with 
13". In an effort to make sure that what we are doing is correct, I would 
really like to discuss this issue with someone who has experience with the 
classification and definition of proper protection within a conveyor system 
that is obviously outside the scope of NFPA #13. 

The typical conveyors are 3'-3'-6" wide and only a few are doubled up 
vertically. This is a brand new state of the art 1st of its kind Baggage 
Handling System that will supposedly be duplicated throughout the country in 
the coming months and years.
