We have had to install a "Semi-bird cage" when the AHJ required "Zone by floor" (Too long a discussion for this space) anyway to avoid pipe in the attic we ran two mains on the floor below the highest floor. We supplied "riser branch-lines" to the top floor HSW heads from its own main, to achieve zone by floor and keep pipe out of the attic.
