So you're saying the sensing line is on the pump suction from the backflow? And you were originally asking if it should be on the backflow supply from the street? Tom
The backflow is installed on the supply side of the pump, city side. The sensing line is installed system side of backflow. I'm surprised that the BFP was allowed on the system side of the pump at all but since the sensing line is for pressure drop in the system having it there (and allowing it as Tom says from the TIAs) makes sense. > > I saw a pump recently with the sensing line installed on the system side of > the backflow. > What is the reason for installing on the system, rather than the city side > of the backflow? > Am I correct that it should be on the city side? > > Forest Wilson _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
