EXII might be a bit over the top. Look at the situation, a trailer only, no
tractor = no fuel loading. The trailer is being upfitted with electronic
equipment. Probably installing cabinets, counters, soldering wires, etc. Kind
of like a kitchen upfit with the addition of some really cool gadgets.

If you looked at NFPA 13 occupancies an electronic plant is manufacturing or
assembling components, that's an OHI. A Repair Garage is OHII.

This operation as compared to a MFGD home assembly occupancy has few if none of
the same components that make the MFGD plant an EXII.

And if it be known, the NFPA 13 reference to modular or mfgd home assembly was
probably based on construction practices from 20-30 years ago when they were
built with cheap 1/8" wood paneling throughout, plastic insulated panel
ceilings, not based on GB walls and ceilings that most are made from now.

So looking at all the issues It would appear that OHII at the most with
portable FE's within the trailer during working hours could be deemed suitable.
If they are installing portable generators within the trailer they should be
unfueled and never started while the trailer is within the building.

Any wood working such as building and cutting cabinets or counters should be
done outside the trailer not inside.

You may have to place some caveats within your design criteria to make sure
everyone understands the limitations of the design.

Maybe I've been confused from the beginning but I thought we were talking about
a trailer with communications equipment in it for use as a mobile TV station
that's been brought in for repair or modification and not a 40' van full of
high piled combustibilium. Doesn't sound like storage or light wood
manufacturing. if that's the case perhaps this is being over thought? And it's
only a small part of the building being intermittently used for this activity.
In fact, this sounds like even less than a repair garage to me unless, as I
said, I misunderstood the original posting.
