Something I've always wondered.. On a combination system, we take the hose demand at the fdv on the riser for the floor we're calculating but I used to have a couple of firefighters who worked part time for me. They always told me they connected a floor or two below (or above) to keep a separation before entering the fire floor. I often wondered why we didn't calc. it that way. Tom
Right- but you'd take the 150 off at the nearest hydrant to pump suction. And you could leave the 100 inside off there, too, if there aren't inside hose connections. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
