Hello Jay,

I use a "T" to a normally closed valve, Like a Fire Pump Test Header setup. IF 
I can not get the flow from the main drain, OR if the FDC is connected at the 
backflow pit, Use a grooved FDC head, Reverse the check and couple on a head 
with the swing clapper removed for the test.
