Viking - and they spray out not up. Wets the ankles. These are for AFFF
systems. They take care of the flammable liquid on the floor.

Subject: RE: Waterspray Systems for LPG tankers

Hi,

I have designed systems for aircraft using 'pop-up' foam nozzles. I cannot
remember the Brand. The piping was run under the floor and the nozzles were
like an upside-down concealed sprinkler. They have about a 6" diameter
stainless steel plate flush with the floor, and a small chain to keep it
from flying away when the foam discharges. Apparently the foam sprays up far
enough to cover the under-side, I was not allowed to see it- (I heard the
plane would have cost less to build if it had been solid gold).

Good luck.

Subject: Waterspray Systems for LPG tankers

Hi all,

When protecting LPG vessels, one has to ensure that the surfaces of the
tanks are fully wet, taking cognisance of vessel supports, etc.

I am looking at a water spray system being designed to protect a loading
area for an LPG Tanker. I'm concerned about the area beneath the tanker, and
especially at the areas shielded by wheels, etc.

Wondering if anyone has been involved in a similar installation and if so,
how these areas were dealt with.

Thanks
