BIM as some define is not what we have here. BIM is a huge, complicated
system. 99% of the CAD work done in 3D is nothing more than CAD work done in
3D. Real BIM inputs operational and usage data as well as work flow functions
into a computer model for analyzing and optimizing utilities, work flow and a
ton of other things. There are a few real BIM modeling programs out there but
many incorrectly refer to any design work done in 3D as BIM.
