Structural design notes sheet is no help, we are sending an RFI for
clarification. I haven't had to worry about seismic locally for about 10.5
years so I am not as well versed as I should be.

What does the structural design notes sheet provide? Is it Seismic Category C
or higher. If so, bracing is required on fire sprinkler systems. I don't
think the seismic maps really apply any longer. You need to know the Seismic
Design Category, then you need the Ss values so you can calculate your bracing.
