Putting aside the other issues for the moment, you might want to use your computer (or your friend's laptop) to go to internetfrog.com/mypc/speedtest and measure the speed and quality of your connection.
There are many other sites to measure speed but I happen to like that one. Hopefully the speed is consistent and the line is steady / doesn't jump around too much. It was good to see you had entered an encryption key to your gateway device. You want to be sure that nobody is leaching your connection. That would certainly cause problems with your Squeezebox--if some douche-bag was hogging your internet connection without your knowledge. - - - I wouldn't worry about posting local IP addresses. It might be prudent to XX out all or part of your Squeezebox MAC ids. Although not much harm could come of that. I suppose someone could “clone” your Squeezebox and then register with Logitech.
