you know brian, it just might be one of those drives that is unsupported since it came from a PC. have u tried goggling the drive for the manufacturer and the specs if they're out there?
all i know about scsi each they each need a unique id and one of them needs to be terminated. i mean, as long as your computer can at least see the drive to say it's not supported, probably means your just running into a brick wall over and over. i'm thinking 3 things. 1. you want to get the s900 to a usable condition. well, i think a good ata controller card (not the sonnet ATA-100) and a cheap IDE drive will solve ur problems. 2. if you want to see if the s900 works, it does, just not on that drive. 3. if you want to see what's on that drive, well, hehehe.. good luck! --- Brian <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hey Mekavich, > > I have spent the last 30 mins fiddling with the scsi > id and found out that > the hd was set to the same as the cd rom so I > changed the hd but its still > registering as not supported, I also did as you > suggested and tried my os 9 > disk :o( that didn't even find the hd to say it was > unsupported :o( > > I'm just going to try writing the os 7.5.5 disk with > that scsiprobe included > as I don't have a floppy drive on my ibook curses to > mac for getting rid of > it lol > > Anyway if you have any other ideas they'd be great > thanks > > Brian > > > On 11/6/05 8:10 am, "Mekavich" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote: > > > hey brian, > > > > i'm curious, how big is that hard drive?
