For OS9, the ATI 7000 is very good, but for OSX i can't say for sure. I have noticed slowdowns in Quark and esp. with 3D movies that ran quick fluid in OS9, but are now choppy with lots of hesitations in OSX.
again, the same card, ati7000 is awesome in OS9, but so-so in OSX for certain applications. that's with all other components being equal.
