You never get past the spinner?

If I remember correctly, the spinner is simply loading the Forth(sp?)
loader, which will then actually load the OS. My first suspicion
would be that you have corrupt media of some sort -- perhaps try another CD
(and double check the MD5's on your downloaded
files to make sure there was no in-transit corruption). The loader is pretty
generic since it doesn't know anything about your
machine yet. After the loader comes the boot probes, but those will print
out what is detected, so you would know where it
is hanging.
