The BIOS is a bit unusual as it has options for 4 com ports. It's unusual to see that.
I booted from the pfSense install ISO image cd. It would not boot under options 1 or 2, but only 3 Safe Mode. I installed pfSense from safe mode, but it crapped out loading, just like the CD did on option 1 & 2. I had gone into the BIOS and turned on and off several options, but changed nothing with I/O ports. Nothing there seemed to fix the issue. I then reset the BIOS to optimal defaults. I booted from the install CD to the logging option and noticed the loader halted on UART3. I went into the BIOS and turned off com port 3 & 4. Unit booted pfSense install CD just fine. I installed pfSense and it works fine at this point. I am going to leave well enough alone and use it as is<GRIN>! Lyle
