Yes, just talk into the com-link. But they had to hit it first sometimes
and sometimes not (actors have bad memmory sometimes).

Yes, and everyone could talk to everyone. It's impressive how Voyager (that
is (or will be?) fartest from known space) always (almost) managed to
conect the diffrent video and sound systems between two species. (But
picking up a FM radio it couldn't!)
