Yes, I agree the Midnight Commander editor is called mcedit, and
is not the most "feature-rich", but it is the easiest.
Just remember to set Midnight Commander's options to use
the Internal Editor, otherwise it uses the default editor
which is usually "vi" or "vim". Yikes...
When I was first learning I had to reboot to get out of vi.:-)
