The dev mailing list is not an archive.
I think that the only difference between what you say here and what I
say above is that in your case you would apply to dev only while I am
proposing to apply to both MLs.

So it's fine. I must admit that the user mailing list is not really an issue here. users will get some help from where they can find some, so if an external mailing list is more active, it's fine. For development, however, as we have a collaborative structure, this is a must have.

The same can happen for IRC channel : it could be cool to have some Syncope IRC channels (users and dev) but as usual, what happens on a dev channel on IRC does not exist if it's not moved to the dev ML.
