Hi John, That would be great! An email forwarded to the list saying we can use the data royalty free should be enough as long as it is from someone official enough at Gautrain.
With regards to bulk merging. I don't think that is going to happen as there is already so much data. The best would be to split the data per route, convert to osm usable format and merge and import as needed. Plus of course updating the necessary relations.
