This should build and run it on Ubuntu:

$ svn co https://garage.maemo.org/svn/osm2go/trunk osm2go
$ cd osm2go
$ sudo aptitude install libcurl3-openssl-dev libgoocanvas-dev
libosso-dev libgpsmgr-dev libgpsbt-dev libosso-gnomevfs2-dev
libhildonfm2-dev mce-dev libgoocanvas3 debhelper
$ make
$ src/osm2go
