I agree with you, but I think this is not about writing a bad package;
it's about the company policy of a giant. Windows 98 may be instable
compared to Linux, but hey: have you ever tried to write *and* market
your own OS? ;-)

I don't like the giant's company policy; but I use Word and it is
still the best text processing software for me. I keep having to duck
for saying this; but actually, I look what my needs are and which
software is best for me, regardless of the maker. I tried others but
ended up with Word. I don't like OL/OE for reasons that I mentioned in
this thread earlier (albeit in an ironical way), and I feel TB is a
far superior MUA; I used to use Netscape but now am using IE, because
I think it is better. I don't use Windows Explorer but Windows
Commander, because WinCom is superior. So I think this is the point:
to use which program is better for your needs, regardless of who wrote
it.

N.B. I would be suspicious of an email program distributed by the FBI,
though... ;-)
