I'm sure you already have heard this (or you wouldn't still be hanging around), but your experiences are not typical. TB! has been one of the most rock-solid and reliable applications I've used. I hope whatever was ailing your installation has been excised and you can now sit back and calmly construct as many templates and macros as you want. As for your message files, if they are still on your hard drive, I believe that there is a key combination which will force TB! to look for them. I'm sure someone else who has used the command will reply to your post.
