Yes after a Factory Reset one needs the Internet again. But I have
found a workaround that still is available with current Firmware.
Powering down to move from house to Expedition to Cabin to Expedition
and back to house once updated with the first Internet connection is no
problem. So once a new purchased Touch gets its first Internet Firmware
DL, it is fine without an Internet Connection as long as one doesn't do
a Factory Reset.
