yes, if RG in SB settings is set to NO VOL ADJ, then it is not used. Something still sounds odd. Can you just rip a CD with dbpa. Use FLAC (not wav) and no DSPs whatsoever when ripping....no RG, no nothing. Then add that FLAC file to your library that the touch is using and play that.
