FLaC files do not stress the decoder. In fact, SB players deal very well
with FLAC files (one could *almost* say the Squeezebox players are
optimized for FLAC files).  I use dbpa as well. I would NOT use the
volume normalization DSP option. This actually modifies the audio itself
rather than simply writing tag info for ReplayGain.  The only use for
the dbpa volume normalization dsp would be for making mp3 files to use
in, say, a car stereo where the built in player doesn't have the ability
to use replaygain or soundcheck values.
