Hi Ralph, I use the Touch together with Adam A5 powered speakers (http://www.adam-audio.com/), directly connected via the analog outputs and I use the Touch volume control, which works really nice for my purposes. The speakers are mounted on the ceiling, so its a little bit hard to access their power switches, and I do not want to have them on all the time. So I connected them to an IP-controlled multiple socket outlet (http://www.koukaam.se/showproduct.php?article_id=1502) and cobbled together a server plugin to switch them on and off together with the Touch. The speakers themselves are near-field studio speakers and I am really satisfied with their sound.
