Okay Lance. The more you obey (subject yourself to) what you already understand, the more God allows you to understand even more. So if you cannot understand a simple phrase like "God hated Esau" because of the hardness of your heart, you will surely not understand much else. Thus all your rationalizations as to why no one can really understand scripture. The more you insist on disbelieving what He has plainly written for you, the more understanding He will take away from you. Pretty soon you will be so confused you will be writing a new theology of your own, like all the other confused men seem want to do. Izzy
