It is, but the Wikipedia is also the end-product of their project so the put a lot of polish into it. For us the wiki is a tool and the CD is the end product.
Yeah, it's not possible (nor required) for the Ubuntu wiki to be as nicely organized and well-written as Wikipedia, but you get my point: where needed, a little extra explanation will go a long way. That is, if it's required for the developers to function better (not always). The Ubuntu wiki is still pretty good, by the way. I just think the art part of the wiki could use some work.
Maybe we can discuss that later. I'll think of what I would want to improve to the wiki, then send it to the list, and you can add stuff to it or give your thoughts.
