I feel meetingology plugin as a good minutes plugin for command-line style meetings. Gobby in minutes (or other documents) is more text-free editor, then people must deploy structured conclusions from the mind to the minutes, but doesn't need written commands nor hierarchical roles.
My experiences say that it's much better a text meeting than anything with audio/video because: - Audio/video introduces setup time at meeting begin (ever) - Audio/video has higher internet and computer requirements - Audio/video skips rational & conceptual format of each participant's messages. - Audio/video is slower for same said message lengths - Audio/video REGUIRES everybody to have same level of stream & acoustic eficiency to hear everything what is said, and to talk and be heard. - Audio/video is difficult for some people to express quickly and clear what is thinking, and to react well to other's interventions. - Audio/video requires everybody's silence to attend 1 person, and cannot prepare own message in the meanwhile -> slower meeting. - Audio/video requires more learning time and tasks for each participant.
