I started this:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuStudio/UserGuide/Graphics/draftpage

I think its appropriate to have a decently superficial introduction to
graphics in general. Due to the various licensing of tutorials out
there, this would ideally be made up of external links, but then the
documentation becomes vulnerable to 404 errors. So i'm writing a short
introduction to the basic concepts myself, to back those eventual 404 up.

I'll bump it up when i think its ready for proof reading, however, I
keep a local copy, so feel free to add, edit and remove as you deem
suitable.
