????? Actually, the paulownia trees were removed last year because they had
exceeded their lifespan.? The tree killers planned to plant temporary trees
when the square reopened.? A new batch of paulownias were being allowed to
mature off site.? I don't know if they have been planted in the square yet.
?????? I don't understand how the actual facts make whoever made the decisions
anti-tree, or whether indeed CCD has taken control of Fairmount Park, which the
square is part of.?

Paul

Thanks for reminding me. They did kill a bunch of trees there. I think
that is part of Paul Levy's CCD zone. It seems from what I have heard,
Levy, is heavily involved with Penn. He was even bragging about encouraging
John Fry to tax renters and long term residents.By his own account this
connection was occuring as far back as the nineties.?
?

Why are these "Penn city planners" so against trees? I think the long term
residents seem to love our trees. Maybe, it's an attempt to recreate a
suburban style like the developments that chop down all the trees and do the
chemically treated lawns.?
?

None of this anti-tree stuff makes sense to me.?
