I once read that it's good practice to reboot Linux even if you don't HAVE to: because in two years when you do have to reboot, you won't remember what you misinstalled and why it doesn't boot happily now. That said, I had an ethernet port die on a web server here yesterday. I didn't want to reboot, I just swapped ports. The machine was installed on July 2nd 2008, it's been rebooted once since then, and is now serving well over a million hits a day, so I'm not about to touch it. So, um, yeah, reboot now while you can. -- snarlydwarf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71700 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
