I agree, it may not feel quite as snappy as OS9, but it feels just as
fast, you'll see what I mean when you use it. Having a supported video
card will make the interface much more responsive.

The system wide sound control does not work, but the sound controls for
each app work perfectly. iTunes works just fine on our machines.

The LWS 360 is compatible with OSX, however, you will need to get an
Ethernet to LocalTalk bridge (like the Dayna Etherprint). OSX doesn't
support any form of networking over the serial ports. I think Asante still
makes one of these, but they are getting rarer.

Much more reliable. OSX is a *NIX, enough said. I will routinely go weeks
without having a system crash or freeze. My machine runs 24/7. My
girlfriend has had only two system freezes over the last 7-8 months.
Here's gets shutdown everynight.

You'll need to take time to get used to it, OSX is a bit different, but
once you get around to using it on a daily basis, OS9 will be good for
nothing more than raising your blood pressure. A gotcha is that since this
is a *NIX system, it does some housecleaning around 3am. If you shutdown
your machine at night, download a copy of MacJanitor so that those scripts
will run during the day, otherwise your machine might start to slow down
after a few months.
