I can't boot my PCI Daystar Genesis off the CD <ProSoft Safety Suite, Data Rescue X> because it won't boot
off an OSX CD but I have Jaguar 10.2.6 on two separate hard drives so I
have installed it and can use each to recover from the other. Neat !!

I haven't tried it yet, but supposedly XPF 3 can boot any bootable CD using the "helper drive" function that starts the boot process on an internal drive and preloads the required XPF extensions, and then hands it off to the CD in much the same way earlier XPF got the OS X installer CD to boot. If it works, that could free up a little HD space in the future. Kris Tilford

XPFacto 3 is now up to alpha 9 version. It does indeed boot both my Disk Warrior 3 and Norton System Works 3 . It also works with Panther OS 10.3 ! The main issues still waiting to be worked out are: Doesn't work with on board Video need to have a PCI Video card and some people are have trouble with SCSI drives not showing up. Will S
