To expound on what I was saying before: a perfect example of the new
usefulness of X in my mind is this: when you start Photoshop (or any
other application for that matter), you don't have to WAIT until it is
done being loaded into memory to do something else. You can go about
chatting, changing tracks in iTunes, and burning CD's and DVD's in the
background and a dozen other things as well and Photoshop keeps right
on loading in the background...AND your computer doesn't crash. This is
akin to the revolutionary change of the MultiFinder where, for the
first time, you could run more than one application at a time...now you
can do that AND utilize the CPU in a fashion that allows you the
freedom to do whatever you want, when you want, without waiting on the
application to allow you to do it.
