That has been discussed a little and it mostly involved the idea that the
longer you are out of college, the less weight the degree holds. I have
echoed your sentiment as well. I can see the purpose of a degree and I
don't think they are a waste of time, but for specific portions of web
development I don't find them necessary. I think the answer you'll get
though boils down to, "It's up to the hiring manager"
