SDS mesh smoothing degree indicator

I black-screened (required power off/on) my Mac yesterday when I hit  
smooth "too many" times while doing SDS coffee cup tutorial. I've a  
suggestion that maybe there could be a visual indicator of the SDS  
mesh density result prior to telling the smooth to make the mesh that  
dense.

As a side note I'm hearing that OSX 10.6.2 release is imminent.
