Nope, I can't let go of my Windows environment because I need to use EndNote. Well, I could use Mac. But the point is I can't use open source. So: the need is pressing. If the user interface is the next step, is that what we should now start working on? I've had a look at the spec documents, and to be honest they are not in a language I use -- I'm more familiar with use cases (ranging from very non-technical to very technically specified) as a way of deciding on interfaces. Has anyone else used these? Does anyone have a better idea?

As a medical researcher I use Word and Reference Manager on a daily basis, and the facilities currently available with OOo are, frankly, laughable in comparison. In my department nobody is using Linux or OOo, and the reasons given are always the lack of a decent bibliographic management capability.
