How many people on this list find the existing functionality adequate enough to use, even if it's not ideal?
My contention is that the current support isn't even really adequate for undergraduate students, much less professional scholars and researchers. I'm just wondering how widely that view is held.
This issue is one of the reasons I'm doing my thesis in LaTeX, and worrying about format conversion later.
Pretty much all of my papers in my academic history have used APA citation style, a style that I don't think can be supported in the current OOo bibliographic database without some serious work.
