The dialog: Preferences, Files tab, Saving Files, ✅ Strip trailing spaces and tabs (and others)

These settings keep source code clean from extra whitespace. One won't have to worry about it again.

(Though if you work on a big project without such features enabled, you'll probably want to run sed or similar over the whole codebase once and commit it, beforehand. Otherwise you'll be adding whitespace updates to your commits every day instead of once.)

The "virtual spaces" setting under the Editor tab, Virtual spaces, helps with that I think. You can drag from the right.
