Yep, although that won't help in this case since the spaces are introduced to facilitate the creation of suffixes, which then become the last thing at the end of each line, so I cleaned the spaces up with a regex instead. >(Though if you work on a big project without such features enabled, >you'll probably want to run sed or similar over the whole codebase >once and commit it, beforehand. You can drag from the right. Ah, I see. Mine was set to "Only for rectangular selections" and changing it to "Always" made it so I could click anywhere with the mouse regardless of whether there were characters there or not. It also doesn't interfere with Home and End working as expected to get to the actual beginning or end of each typed line, Although it's good to know about this as an option in the event that I ever need to do this sort of thing intensively, I wouldn't leave the virtual setting like that, because it interferes with my occasional check for trailing white-space by going to the end of a line and hitting the down arrow to see where the cursor ends up on the next line. I'm aware that the View menu offers the "Show White Space" option, but nothing changes when I enable or disable that option in my ancient copy of Geany (which is probably an ancient and long-since-solved bug), so I check for white-space manually until this machine gets a much-needed upgrade to the operating system, in which case all the software will be more modern. -- Little Girl There is no spoon. _______________________________________________ Users mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
