Hi, I'm just an ordinary user. These are a few of the reasons I prefer
OpenOffice.org over Microsoft Office:
1. I can afford it.
2. I can't find a Microsoft Office version to install on my system
(GNU/Linux Ubuntu Studio 7.10).
3. OpenOffice.org supports ISO/IEC 26300 with no need for installing extra
plugins.
4. OpenOffice.org saves using the ISO/IEC 26300 format as default.
5. Things that annoyed me with Microsoft Office works smoother with
OpenOffice.org.
6. The [email protected] mailing list is great!
7. I have reported some issues when I found that something didn't work as
expected, and many of them was actually corrected!

Here are a few things with OpenOffice.org that I think need to be improved:
1. Speed. I have a fast PC these days, but I think OpenOffice.org SHOULD run
fast even on an older system, at least as fast as Microsoft Office does,
which is a lot faster in many cases than OpenOffice.org.
2. Impress is still not very impressive, I think. Needs a lot of work.
Fortunately for me, I don't use presentation software anyway, but others
obviously do.
