I've got a Red Hat 7.2 system running and it's networked with the rest of the computers in the house. My son's has a printer connected to his computer and it's shared.
For some reason the owner ROOT (I'm guessing it's my machine as it's the only Linux system) keeps sending garbage to print on his printer.
I've checked with lpq on my system but never seen anything - it's all been spooled to his I'm guessing.
Anyway, is there anything that could be running I don't know about that would send things to his printer, mine is fine.
There's a nasty windows virus that sends itself to printers. It might just be that.
