The Provo fibre network was sold off because poor business management was not
able to pay the bonds. Broadweave purchased the entire network including the
customers from Vericity and Mstar. I was an Mstar customer at the time and
enjoyed their service. I was afraid that with the lack of direct competition
that Broadweave would be worse than Comcast. This however has not been the
case, in fact the fibre network has never been so reliable. There hasn't been a
packet storm in over a year, and they would happen about once a month.

Mstar still services Provo in dial-up and DSL.

I would suggest Broadweave.

So, what happened to MStar again? I can't quite remember. I am looking at
mstar.net and it has been bought by prime time communications. Do they still
service provo? From the testimonials on the front page it seems like they are.
If so, that would be another choice...

I just wish Provo would link up with the UTOPIA network...then you would have
all sorts of service options
