I've had SFCN at my last two addresses. Currently I get about 5Mbps
down and 512Kbps up. My last place I got 20Mbps down and 5 Mbps up. I
think it has a lot to do with the demographics of the neighborhood (ie,
how many people have kids that hog all the bandwidth versus old people's
and jet-setter's apartments that don't use it or are rarely home)
Latency at both places was relatively high, but stable. My biggest
problem with SFCN has been the DNS server's reliability, and a couple
service outages a year lasting several hours. Otherwise, it's been
roughly the same experience I've had with Comcast in another city.
Probably way better than DSL and Digis.
