I did not try that on the garbage drive, I don't have access to any non-Macs. I tried Norton Utilities, Tech Tools, and Diskwarrior. None of the three can see it. ASP can see it, but shows it as having no megabytes at all, and no mountable media. When I've got that many things telling me the drive's trash, it goes into the recycling pile.
