Hi,

OK, so I checked into this Youtube thing a bit more and on second generation
Apple TV they are definitely gone, anybody who claims otherwise probably has a
third generation Apple TV. I also found out that the third generation Apple TV
which was originally released in March of 2012 had a small update (not sure
what that was) and a Revision A was released in January of 2013. It appears
that Youtube is still available on the third generation Apple TV and I thought
that is what I had, but apparently I have only a second generation Apple TV. I
sort of remembered this now because when the third generation Apple TV came out
I was debating whether I should buy one, but I believe one of the few
improvements was that it can stream in 1280P whereas the second gen can only do
720P and to me that was not very important. Anybody who wants to check, here
are the actual model numbers which would tell you exactly which one you have
including the first generation Apple TV which came out in 2007 and was
available with a 40 Gb or 160 Gb hard drive and which probably not too many
people have any more.

Actually Youtube is still available and working to my knowledge on the third
generation, now entry level, model.
