I applaud Apple for making this move and being more environmentally friendly, even if it also lines their pockets. I don't agree with the sentiment that people shouldn't be able to complain about this and should just be thankful for what they have though. Even though I don't agree with them, people have the right to make their feelings known, and blind people pay just as much for their iPhones as sighted people, so they have just as much right to complain as anyone else.
