I know many professors and grad students who wanted to study cold fusion. They could not. Several grad students tried and had their academic careers abruptly terminated. There is not the slightest chance a grad student would get funding or be allowed to publish a paper. Just about any academic scientist in the U.S. tries to study cold fusion, or even talks about it, will be purged. I mean thrown out. Even people such as Bockris who had tenure were almost thrown out. - Jed
